  • Prayer of Consecration | Abundant Life Family Church

PRAYER OF CONSECRATION "Father, I pray the prayer of dedication, consecration, and submission today. In every area of my life, I belong to You. I'll go where You want me to go and do what You want me to do. Not my will, but Yours be done. Thank You, Father, that You work in me both to will and to do of Your good pleasure. You have a good plan for my life, a plan of peace and joy. Father, what You want and what You desire is what I want; that is what I desire. Not my will, but Your will for my life - every day. Not my own way, not the way of the flesh, but the way of the Spirit. Your will, Your plan, Your way. Father, I dedicate every part of my life to You. You have a plan for me in every arena of my life. Thank You for the joy of obedience. I will obey You with joy, Father. I want to have the spirit of obedience in my life, not rebellion or pride, not resistance or hard-heartedness, but a soft, sensitive heart that is willing to do anything. I rebuke rebellion and stubborness in Jesus' Name. I say before Your presence that I am willing to do anything You want me to do; no matter what man says, no matter what the world says. You have found a willing person. You have found an obedient person. Father, I will do what You say - all the way, just the way You say it, no more and no less, and with joy. Thank You for the spirit of faith and the spirit of obedience. I thank You that Your will for my life will be fulfilled to Your glory, in Jesus' Name. Amen." TESTIMONIES Look what the Lord has done! Learn more of what God is doing in the life of the Abundant Life Church family. Come Visit Us Look What the Lord has Done! Elizabeth C. "The first Sunday I came to the service I was warmly received by the people and heard a great message. I began attending every Sunday, as much as I could. The ladies urged me to come Wednesday night. One came and got me as I had not driven at night for many months. I began to hunger for more and have even been driving on Wednesday night so I can be sure to come to service. My hunger for more of God has increased so much because of the preaching and teaching I have received here. I am so grateful to the pastors and the people for helping restore my zeal for the things of God." Mark E. "I am very grateful for what God has done at Abundant Life. I developed back problems. If I bent over for more than a couple of seconds it was very difficult to stand up, which was a problem since I need to bend over a lot for work. My back felt very stiff and there was some pain. During a Sunday morning service I went forward to Pastor Jeff for prayer. During the prayer I did not feel any change. I walked back to my seat believing I was healed. By the time I sat down the pain and stiffness were gone and remain gone to this day." Kathleen D. "For me it is a place of safety and shelter from the storms and cares of life. That shelter predominately comes from sitting under the teaching of the Word and secondly by the love of my church family. We are united together as brothers and sisters in Christ in this local body, and there’s a love and unity you get like no other place. Church is home. Pastor Jeff led me to the Lord in a church service almost 30 years ago! He and Pastor Christine have been helping me to grow up all these years later. Thank you, Pastors, for providing me with a safe, loving home." Anthony W. "Outside of my natural knowledge and abilities, I firmly believe that this job became mine through the support and advice of my Pastors’. Pastor Jeff recommended reading books and meditating on the favor of God and confessing that favor over my life so that I could be confident in knowing that my next best job was coming to pass. I have achieved much in my current role and have experienced the favor of God with my colleagues and leadership. This opportunity has been a blessing and I look forward to what is next. Thank God for my local church and the gift of my Pastors." PLAN YOUR VISIT

  • Pastor Christine Book | Abundant Life

We Are Coming SOON Overcome Anxiety Many people in the world are troubled, depressed and do not know the source that torments them. In this book, Pastor Christine explains through her own testimony, how fear doesn't have to control your life. We can be living in victory with these applicable steps derived from the Word of God. Freedom is possible! "Though I’ve been coming to ALFC since I was 6 years old, I didn’t have the revelation of controlling your thoughts. When I was a teenager and I became very depressed by my preteen and teen years. I didn’t know what the issue was but t ried to hide it from everyone. It got to be so bad I kept thinking and started saying I didn’t want to live anymore. I told my younger brother I didn’t want to live to be 17. God intervened! Before I turn seventeen, Pastor Christine had an altar call after a Sunday morning service for those who were depressed, and I went up. I had recently learned what depression was in school, so I knew that was the problem. She prayed for me and hugged me. I didn’t feel any different at the time. Three days later I realized I hadn’t cried myself to sleep since. I had been delivered! I had so much joy, it was like salvation all over again as I wrote letters of my testimony to ALL of my family. Thankfully Pastors Jeff and Christine ministered about how we are to control our thought life. I was always helped by Pastor Christine’s testimony of overcome anxiety and panic attacks. I’ve had panic attacks and depression try to return on several occasions but due to having their teaching I’ve gotten the victory every time and I’m a doer of the Word, not a hearer only. Glory To God!" Get on the List Sign up to receive the first word when we go live. First Name Last Name Email I agree to added to the events list Subscribe Thanks for submitting! PLAN YOUR VISIT

  • Scriptures for Peace | Abundant Life Family Church

SCRIPTURES FOR PEACE Our heavenly Father, He desires for every one of His children to walk in perfect peace! Learn more below about what the Bible says about the peace that surpasses all circumstance. (All scriptures are taken from the New King James version, unless otherwise stated.) Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. John 14:27 AMPC Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] Philippians 4:6-7 AMPC Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. John 16:3 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. For more information on the subject of peace, or if you would like prayer, please contact us below. PLAN YOUR VISIT

  • Tenants of Faith | Abundant Life Family Church

WHAT WE BELIEVE TENETS OF FAITH The Scriptures The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21). The Godhead Our God is One, but manifested in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being coequal (Deut. 6:4; Phil. 2:6). God the Father is greater than all; the Sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1:14). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 14:16; John 15:26). Man, His Fall, & Redemption Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The Bible says "...all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God," and "...There is none righteous, no, not one" (Rom. 3:10; 3:23). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14; 1 John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph. 2:8–10). Eternal Life & The New Birth Man's first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life (2 Cor. 7:10; John 3:3–5; 1 John 5:12). Water Baptism Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12; Acts 8:36–39). The following recommendation regarding the water baptismal formula is adopted; to wit: "On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen." Baptism in the Holy Ghost The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 19:1–7; Acts 2:1–4). Sanctification The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ's return (Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; 2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12–14; 1 Cor. 1:30). Healing Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (James 5:14,15; Mark 16:18; Isa. 53:4,5; Matt. 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24). Prosperity (a) Spiritual. (III John 2; II Corinthians 5:17-21) (b) Mental. (II Timothy 1:7; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3) (c) Physical. (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24) (d) Financial. (Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; II Corinthians 9:6-15; Deuteronomy 28:1-14) (e) Social. (Proverbs 3:4; Luke 2:52; Esther 2:15) Marriage & Sexual Relations The Church shall only sanction or conduct marriages between a man and a woman. God instituted marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family, the basic structure of human society (Genesis 2:24). God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in other than in the context of marriage between a man and a woman (Genesis 19:5, 26:8‑11; Leviticus 18:1‑30; Romans 1:26‑29: 1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1‑8; Hebrews 13:4). God has wonderfully and immutably created each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Resurrection of the Just & the Return of Our Lord The angels said to Jesus' disciples, "...This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." His coming is imminent. When He comes, "...The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air..." (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16,17). Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years (Rev. 5:10; 20:6). Hell & Eternal Retribution The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The lake of fire is literal. The terms "eternal" and "everlasting," used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the Presence of God (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 19:20).
