"For me, it is a place of safety and shelter from the storms and cares of life. We are united together as brothers and sisters in Christ in this local body, and there’s a love and unity like no other place. Church is home."
What is the difference between hope and faith? Hope always looks to the future. Faith is always NOW. Faith says, “I’ll receive the answer right now. I have it NOW.” It is not hoping that receives from God. It is BELIEVING.
I’ve had many conversations over many decades with people who wanted healing. So often, they will say, “I know that someday I’ll be healed, or I sure hope I will be healed.” That is NOT faith. It is hope, because it is looking to the future.
Healing is always the will of God. Healing power is always present everywhere to heal. However, we know that most people do not receive this healing power. Why is this?
So often, we cry out, “Oh God, do something!” But God always says, “You believe, then I’ll move!” It’s human nature to want to put all the responsibility on someone else. However, this is not the way God operates. All throughout the scriptures, God put the ball back into the court of the individual who had a need.
Actually, God gave us His Word AND His faith. He will do anything He says in His Word if we will simply BELIEVE Him and take Him at His Word.
